    • Seeking an individual to develop and monitor the implementation of department programs such as School Based Programs, Residential Services, Foster Care, Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home. This position oversees services provided in assigned departments in all locations as well as provides supervision to Program Manager. Individual would need to support staff in incorporating A Caring Alternative Values in day to day decision making, personal and professional development. In addition the individual would assist with the development of the program budgets and reviews monthly financial reports along with monitoring productivity for applicable departments.

    • Would you like to use your empathy and compassion to oversee youth in a center-based respite facility? Join our team as a Direct Care Staff! Impact the lives of youth in Western North Carolina by providing direct supervision for children and adolescents in our new Respite Care Facility located in Marion. Direct Care Staff provide caregivers and their children with that extra layer of support by allowing breaks in care. A Caring Alternative is currently seeking a full-time Direct Care Staff to work in Marion, NC providing person-centered focused services that respond to the need of children and their caregivers. As a Direct Care Staff, you will provide emotional, physical and daily living care for youths (ages 6-20) with behavioral health needs in a group home setting. Must be kind, patient, reliable and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children. Experience is helpful, but we will train the right candidate. This role requires documenting the day-to-day functioning of the child, provides support based on identified goals of the child, and teaching/reinforcing daily living and relationship skills. QUALIFICATIONS A strong desire to work with children and adolescents, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team is a must! A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants need to be minimum 21 years old. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, high stress environment. Behavioral health experience is preferred.

    • Seeking a Licensed OutPatient Therapist, preferably dually licensed, to work as an embedded team member of Burke Department of Social Services in Morganton, North Carolina. The person must be a qualified mental health professional and have experience in interviewing, assessing, and maintaining knowledge of resources for children, adolescents, and adults with severe and persistent mental health issues. The individual would need to be able to consult with contractual physicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and community providers as well as help to staff cases with social workers and accompany them on home visits as necessary. In addition to this they would work closely with the Department of Social Services staff, consumers, their families, and the court system.

    • Individuals licensed or interested in becoming licensed in order to provide Therapeutic Foster Care within their home. Individuals must be 21 years or older and have GED/High School Diploma. All TFC Parents must have a desire & commitment to help provide a loving home environment. A Caring Alternative will assist with the necessary support & supervision so that the home will be successful in providing a stabilized environment to the child(ren). We will provide the required MAPP course, free of charge, to qualified applicants in addition to other helpful trainings.
