Substance Use Disorder Services

Individual and group therapy is designed to benefit those who have experienced behavioral health issues and substance use disorders. The program used is an outpatient, effective, evidence-based practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy curriculum, designed to assist individuals in learning skills for managing recovery of both types of disorders, beahvioral health and substance use. This program provides education and information regarding symptoms and treatment options for various types of behavioral health concerns. Individuals will learn skills for changing their thinking, a central construct of Cognitive Restructuring, an activity in which individuals learn skills for identifying thinking styles, feelings, recognizing automatic negative thoughts, and changing perceptions from negative to positive.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Group

DBT is therapy designed to help people change patterns of destructive behavior.  These patterns include self-harm, suicidal thinking, and substance use.  Increased emotional and cognitive regulation strategies are taught which, in turn, assist the individual with coping skills.  These skills along with positive reinforcement help the individual avoid undesired reactions and behaviors.

Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) Group
