We provide an array services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, and McDowell Counties, which consist of Assisted Family Living, Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Out Patient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care.

  •  CERTIFIED PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST QP - Morganton
    • A Caring Alternative is currently seeking a full time Qualified Professional. The purpose of this position is to serve as a therapeutic resource to meet the needs of ACA consumers receiving Peer Support services. 
    • A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or closely related Human Services area and 2 yrs documented experience required. Must be a certified Peer Support Specialist.

  • BIH FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST  - Morganton
    • Seeking an independent, detail oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support a team of integrated mental health professionals with data entry (EHR/EMR experience preferred), insurance authorizations, referrals, scanning/uploading, documentation compliance, scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating client appointments, patient/phone contact, etc.  Other duties will include those of a medical records coordinator and receptionist. Requires the ability to multi-task with a positive and solution-focused attitude.  Previous experience with medical records or receptionist in a healthcare environment.     • Seeking a full time Substance Abuse Specialist. The role of the Substance Abuse Specialist is to assess and track stages of change readiness and treatment and ensure that team treatment approaches are consistent with an individual’s readiness plan.

    • Seeking a full-time direct care staff to work as a Residential Coach in Marion, NC providing person-centered focused services that respond to the need of children and their caregivers. As a Residential Coach, you will provide emotional, physical and daily living care for youths (ages 6-20) with behavioral health needs in a group home setting. Must be kind, patient, reliable and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children. Experience is helpful, but we will train the right candidate.

  • INTENSIVE IN HOME SERVICES TEAM LEAD - Marion
    • Seeking an Intensive In-Home Services Team Leader in Morganton, North Carolina. Individuals must be licensed or provisionally licensed clinicians. Services include but are not limited to crisis management, intensive case management, individual and/or family therapy and skills training in the child’s natural environment to provide services to children with mental illness. Must be willing to travel within the counties served by the team.
